Enhancing Qur’anic Intellect: Islamic Family Law Study Program Faculty of Sharia Students Participate in Ta’aruf Qur’ani HTQ Event
SHARIA – The Ta’aruf Qur’ani event is an annual activity organized by the Ha’iah Tahfidzul Al-Qur’an at UIN Malang. Held from September 30 to October 1, the event was attended by 500 students from various programs and faculties.
This event is part of the introduction and recruitment process for new members of HTQ UIN Malang. Ta’aruf Qur’ani XXI was attended by undergraduate students from the faculties of Sharia, Education and Teaching Sciences, Psychology, and Science and Technology. Students from the Faculty of Sharia were the second-largest group of participants from the different faculties involved in the event.
On the first day, the event began with an introduction to HTQ materials in the auditorium on the 5th floor of the Ir. Soekarno building, featuring various expert speakers. The discussions included the history and structure of HTQ, methods for memorizing the Qur’an, and time management between studying and memorizing the Qur’an.
The activity, which required all participants to participate as proof of their involvement and preparation for the Qur’ani introduction event, generated enthusiasm among attendees. One highlight was the presence of Ning Nadya Abdurrahman, a hafidzah (female Qur’an memorizer) active on social media, sharing and teaching methods for memorizing the Qur’an.
On the second day, activities were conducted outdoors at the Sumbersari field, featuring fun games for participants of Ta’aruf Qur’ani. The day began at 7:00 AM and ended at 1:00 PM, starting with group exercises followed by competitions designed to foster teamwork among group members. The event concluded with an oath-taking ceremony and pledge of loyalty as HTQ members by all participants. As the second-largest group of participants from the Faculty of Sharia, the motivation for students to join the Ta’aruf Qur’ani XXI was generally based on a desire to honor their parents in the hereafter. By participating in the Ta’aruf Qur’ani XXI event and becoming members of HTQ UIN Malang, Faculty of Sharia students took steps to deepen their understanding of the Qur’an and to have a comprehensive platform for memorizing the Qur’an.
