Collaboration Through Multimedia: Qiblatuna Faculty of Sharia Designs Falak Education for the Public

SHARIA – Falak science, which is often seen as unusual by the public, presents a unique challenge for its practitioners—not only in learning it but also in applying and educating the community about it. This challenge prompted the Falak community at the Faculty of Sharia to collaborate on educating the public in a way that is easy to understand.

The Qiblatuna members not only gather to review the material but also plan a collaboration integrating Falak science with multimedia, which is currently trending in society. To make the collaboration more approachable, they invited competent speakers in the field. The event, held on Monday, August 22, 2022, was particularly engaging as it marked the first collaboration with external parties.

With the proposal to create a podcast discussing viral phenomena in society related to Falak science, Ustaz Zamroni offered some motivation to the Qiblatuna members. Support from Ustaz Azmi, the head of the Falak Unit, was also conveyed during the event at BLK Sabilurosyad 2 in Dau, Malang Regency. This support is directed towards the downstreaming of Falak science, making it easily accessible and well-received by the public.
